Scaffolding Hire Sydney

Scaffolds are an integral part of any construction project and are purposed to support workers and material during the construction and repair of buildings. A scaffold is a platform or a wooden structure which is either suspended from the top of the building or supported from below. Workers who work using these structures sit or stand on the scaffold which is erected using metal tubes, pipes, boards and couplers.

Rather than buying all the parts of a scaffold it's wise to hire scaffold which otherwise is a costly investment. Businesses that are not in the construction or repairing business will require scaffolds for a limited time and usage following which the scaffold goes useless. Not only does the materials go waste they also pose problems of storage.  Many companies offer scaffolding for hire thereby reducing the expenses of the company. They provide scaffold towers, platforms and various types of tools required for the construction.

Scaffold hire saves time as the company which offers scaffolds for hire helps in erecting the structure for construction as well. Before deciding to hire scaffold, it is prudent to ensure that the towers provided are easy to assemble. Scaffold hire companies also provide professionals who direct the proper installation and usage of the scaffolds. The hiring services that the companies offer includes planks, Joint Pins, MS-pipe, Mild Steel Plates, Aerospan, Couplers, Plates, Cuplock, Adjustable Base, prop and channels. Business by hiring scaffolds can make sure that all they get all the necessities at one place.

Safety for the workers and timely execution of the project is an important aspect and should be taken care of. Scaffolds that have the feature of easy portability also helps as they can be easily transported to different segments of the construction site according to the need. While hiring scaffolding services also ask for scaffold towers with strong wheels that makes them movable.

Aluminium Scaffolding - the Different Systems.

Aluminium scaffolds are broken down into 2 basic categories.

Frame scaffolds:
These are basically modular systems consisting of frames (pre fabricated vertical standard and horizontal transom members), and also diagonal, horizontal bracing.

Generally, frame scaffolds are single bay units that are kept on castors, and easily portable. Due to the fact that they are lightweight and movable, they are perfect for the small – medium size jobs of a home or commercial nature.

System Scaffolds:
Based on the modular series of Kwikstage or Ringlock for example, these systems generally perform the same functions as steel sytems, but are lighter, with lower loading capacities.

The two main systems are Aluminium Kwikstage, and Aluminium Ringlock. As it is a new and quite niche market, each Australian company has adopted different principles from multiple systems, and so many hybrid systems have popped up recently.
